BELLA MONTICELLI

Bella Monticelli is an award winning writer-director originally from London, now based in Los Angeles. Her last short film “The Lone Cowboy” won the TUMI award for best short film at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. She is an alumni of Central St. Martins and the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. For 4 years she directed the television show “Live From Abbey Road”, then music videos and commercials. Her three narrative short films have traveled to festivals all over the world and in 2016 her feature film script “Par Ici” was shortlisted for the BFI features program. Along with commercials, she also has directed several short docs for NGOs around the world in Nepal, Africa, and most recently in Houston, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands covering the devastation left by two back to back Category 5 hurricanes.
 
In 2018, Tribeca once again asked her to submit an idea for a short film in collaboration with Bulgari about trailblazing women in Italy. She was one of only two directors chosen to make the Tribeca-financed films. “Conducting A Revolution” premiered at the Festival to great critical acclaim and was covered by Variety, THR, Vogue and The New York Times.
