The Newsstand’s final day was January 25, 2014. Thank you to all the publishers, artists, commuters and friends who supported us. Curated by Lele Saveri, founder of the 8-Ball Zine Fair, The Newsstand developed a dedicated community, becoming a platform for creativity and exposure.

We re-imagined the traditional format of a newsstand with independent zines, magazines, and records, opening itself up as a forum to artists, photographers and cultural leaders.

A year and a half later, on November 7th, MoMA opened the 2015 installment of its annual New Photography exhibition. The exhibition featured works by nineteen international photographers, including works by New York based Italian, Lele Saveri, with the installation of The Newsstand. This installation was a re-staging of our underground project space.
