Partners in Preservation (PIP) is a program in which American Express, in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, awards preservation grants to historic places across the country.

Working with AMEX, we leveraged gamification for their most recent activation in Washington DC, enabling preservationists to get out the vote for their favorite sites through social engagement on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Foursquare over the two-week competition.

Results:

  • 7.5 Million Points scored over two weeks
  • 62,000 Badges awarded
  • Most Successful Initiative Yet Benchmarked against previous PIP campaign participation
