Van Alpert started as a graffiti writer in Miami before premiering his first solo Art Exhibition in Art Basel 2016. He briefly attended the Art Center in Pasadena for Advertising on scholarship as well as studied filmmaking in Cuba. His experience in visual arts translates in his films, which remain grounded in street culture and carry a signature realism and grit. His renegade style created the first Post Malone breakthrough music video with over 800 million views in addition to his work with Nike, Redbull and Kanye West. While living in Los Angeles for the last 10 years Van has directed videos totaling almost a billion views, while continuing to develop his fine art work.
Most recently he direct Machine Gun Kelly's "my ex's best friend", which von the VMA for Best Alternative Video (2021). Van's feature film directorial debut "Skategoat" will be released in 2023, a film he worked on for over 10 years, documenting Venice Beach skater Leandre Sanders.
