With their third installment, Lauren sends Molly a series of impressionistic polaroids which move from abstraction to clarity, like a submerged figure rising to the water's surface. Her writing details the various accidents which distort the physical qualities of her film. Molly responds in turn by exploring the aesthetic tonalities of water: how it can distort, illuminate, or lay bare the photographic subject. Lauren's focus on process, and the physical condition of her polaroids, influences Molly's fluid character studies.
