Saturday, February 13th, we celebrated the launch of The Newsstand Book, published in collaboration with Rizzoli, 8-Ball Zines, Pau Wau Publications and Alldayeveryday.
Designed by Pau Wau Publications, the book commemorates Alldayeveryday’s pop-up, The Newsstand, originally located in an abandoned storefront inside a Brooklyn subway station that sold self-published zines and books. Recently, the MoMA recreated The Newsstand to scale in the “Ocean of Images” exhibit as part of their New Photography 30th anniversary.
For this very special occasion, we covered the walls of the Project Space with oversize photocopies—the preferred zine printing method—from the book and danced the night away to tunes by Them Jeans, Roofeo, OG & Wizard.
Even if you were there, the night is probably a bit hazy, so we’ve provided plenty of documentation below.
