Our series Girls, Girls, Girls continues with photographer Maya Fuhr. This time we're visiting girls in Toronto and we're going out drinking. We visit with Laura-Lynn Petrick, who is also a photographer. Laura-Lynn has been published in Nylon Magazine, Dazed & Confused, and Interview Magazine, among others, and has been in over 25 exhibits in Canada and abroad. 

If you could travel to one place in the world to take a photograph, where would that be?

A tie between Macchu Picchu or the Sahara desert.

Who do you look up to?

I look up to a few folks... Dennis Hopper, documentary filmmaker D.A Pennebaker, and the man — Martin Scorsese.

What are you drinking?

Budweiser in the day, McManis Cab Sauv in the evening.

What are you reading right now?

Commando, Johnny Ramone's autobiography.

What inspires you?

Sunshine and rock 'n' roll.

Life philosophy?

Do what you want to do and do it very well.

Favorite place to go out?

I like Grossman's Tavern in Chinatown, and The Rex (on a Jazz night).

Favorite thing about Canada?

I love the countryside of Canada.  There are so many beautiful bodies of water and crazy diverse landscapes.
